For your movie delight Connecting to the Classic presents Fantasia, the eight selection of Classical music performed in animation form

Fantasia is a 1940 American animated musical anthology film produced by Walt Disney Productions, with story direction by Joe Grant and Dick Huemer and production supervision by Walt Disney and Ben Sharpsteen. It consists of eight animated segments set to pieces of classical music conducted by Leopold Stokowski, seven of which are performed by the Philadelphia Orchestra. Music critic and composer Deems Taylor acts as the film's Master of Ceremonies who introduces each segment in live action.

The film originally was design to be a simple cartoon but as the production cost rose, Walt Disney felt he could earn more if it was one of several pieces of music put to animation.  Music includes The Nutcracker Suite by Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, The Sorcerer's Apprentice by Paul Dukas, The Rite of Spring by Igor Stravinsky. and The Pastoral Symphony by Ludwig van Beethoven, among others
