From the success of the Great Ape, King Kong, lets look at how TV. showcased animals for the Home Viewers

As Television made its mark, let us take a look at how it showcased animals as stars for its viewers in the 1950's and 60's.  Shows to take a closer look at includes Rin Tin Tin, Mr. Ed., Lassie, and Flipper. Three of the four required the animal to be well trained.  The Mr. Ed was a comedy show dealing with a so called Talking Horse
