Come out & join us for our first Seed Swap! This is where local gardeners get to share their locally harvested seeds, their own family heirloom seeds and partial packets that they don't wany anymore.

U of I Extension Master Gardeners will be hosting a seed swap at the library along with our partners; Buz

Drop off your labeled seed at the Zion-Benton Seed Library from now until Thursday, January 23.

• Seed can be locally harvested & labeled 
• Family heirloom seeds labeled
• Partial used seed packets of seeds no older that 2 years

      Seed packets will be arranged my flowers, herbs, and vegetables

Nations Seed Swap Day was started back in 2006.  It's a great way for gardeners to share their locally harvested seeds, heirloom seeds from their gardens and seed packets that they don't want anymore. To ask Master Gardeners gardening questions. A place for gardeners to connect and share with each other what works and what doesn't. There will also be a "hands on" demonstration table on how to harvest your own seeds for the future.

Come together and exchange nature's  valuable gifts, the gift of seeds. National Seed Swap Day has been going on since 2006. This will be Zion's first year participation and we plan on making it a yearly event.
